Read this Book!

We first heard about the movie "Fireproof" when we were in Indianapolis with the Senior Adults for the Baptist Convention. Since its official release, it's been popping up everywhere! The response to the movie prompted the creation of this journal, The Love Dare.
"The Love Dare is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love."
Buy the book. Read it. Don't read it with your spouse. Don't use it as a Bible Study. Read it for what you will learn about what makes a Godly marriage. Even in you've been married a long time and feel like you have a terrific relationship with your spouse, you'll be surprised at what you learn.
It's also great for thinking about other relationships you have. It is specifically for marriage, but as in all things inspired by God, the things you will learn as you read the devotionals will spill into your other relationships as well!
I'm on Day 18 and here's some of the phrases from the past few weeks that impressed me:
-Patience avoids problems
-Kindness creates a blessing
-Love makes you king
-Kindness makes you likeable
-Dare to be delightful
-Love that chooses to love is just as powerful as love that feels like loving.
-Changing yourself often changes others
-In difficult situations, be a wise farmer--do what you know to do, then turn it over to God
We are having a showing of the movie at Church on Valentine's Night. There's gonna be popcorn and coke, just like the theatre. And I won't tell if you sneak some Milk Duds in!
Come see the movie. Buy and read the book. You're gonna love 'em!
And you're gonna love how it makes you see your significant other, the one who you swore to love through everything, the one who can make your heart sing and cause you to feel giddy....even if you think the shine has worn off the relationship!
Go! Go! Get the book! And I'll see you Saturday at the Movies!
