God Thinks of Everything!
Today Les told me about a texting conversation he had with a friend using Ye Olde English wordology. It was funny and silly and it made me wonder--If he hadn't married me, would he do stuff like that? Not because he's not smart or creative, but he's not a reader. Have my book quotations and wordplays and reading influenced his type of creativity?
Then I wondered about me. Les has always encouraged any crazy idea I have to be creative in some form or fashion. He praises my writing and my decorating and my crafting. And teases me about it all to! If I were married to a less (not Les!) encouraging person, would I be writing/blogging/creating? He drags me to social events and forces me to talk to people. You know--as in out loud, not through the computer! He's had so much positive influence on the person I am today vs. the person I was 25 years ago when we got married.
God just thinks of everything doesn't he! He put the two of us together to bring out our best in each other. At least I know he (Les, and of course God) brings out the best in me. I hope I do the same for him. I want to work on that--being an encourager to him--I know he's awesome. He needs to know it too!
I know you're curious about the gash. Les has a natural affinity and talent for opening car doors right into his head! He's practiced for years--as long as he's worn glasses! This particular incident required some medical intervention and superglue. Now he's got this cute and rakish looking scar above his eyebrow. That cool colored and bordered picture was taken with my iphone using the Hipstamatic app.

I noticed that new scar and kept trying to convince myself it had always been there!
You two are great together...funny and creative. And I've noticed that what ever one of you does the other follows i.e. finger tips LOL! I love the scar, but I don't think you should follow him there Dawn.
You know I already have that inherited genetic bump on my forehead on the same side he cut his. I think we are already twins again.....
Aahh.....so sweet! You are a great pair! Great job on the wedding, by the way. From the pics, looks like it was all beautiful!
My husband superglues his wounds all the time :)
This was a sweet post.
Oh, I love this. And, I feel the same way about my husband. Aren't we blessed?
Cute cute CUTE picture of the two of you!

What a wonderful example you two are. You remind me of my Mama and Daddy (a much younger version of course). They always held hands and had prayer at every meal no matter where they were. I always had the sweet security of knowing how much "in love" my parents were. What an awesome feeling. I miss my Mama so much but I enjoy seeing you "two" together exhibiting the same attributes that I grew up with oh those many years ago. May God continue to bless you both.
