Making Merry in the Library
You might notice my high school library is decorated in much the same fashion as my house--Eclectic is a nice word don't you think?
Gargoyles from the Dollar Store. A tin soldier from a garage sale. Discarded library books used as props. (Don't worry--titles include such things as Computer Programming in Basic and Race into Space (1963).)
Add a few strings of Christmas lights and you have an Automatic Christmas Machine!
I was told the Crows were not festive. My student Aides informed me that crows did not say "Christmas" to them. I showed them--my crows are now wearing Happy Holiday ribbons around the their necks and the big one is carrying a copy of A Christmas Carol!
So there!

You are funny. Wanna come and decorate for me???I am trying to get inspired. I have the church looking pretty good.
I barely have enough to decorate my house, and you decorated your house AND library! Very cute! And I love the crows!
You are the coolest school librarian ever. A crow reading Dickens? That's pretty deep.
I think the crows are a lovely holiday addition :)
