Summer Smells Like...

Fresh mown grass--hopefully mowed by someone else
Coconut Tanning oil--not on us cause we are incredibly white and only go out with SPF 50 sunscreen
Cooking on the grill--why dirty a pan when you can cook outside and just burn the gunk off?
Hot tar or cement--take a big sniff in your local grocery store parking lot!
Cedar Trees--every time I smell Cedar in the summer I become a little kid again, playing outside and not even caring that it's hot.  But the 'not caring that it's hot' part really doesn't figure in to reality!

What does Summer smell like to you?

Today smells like dirt that is blowing. I am waiting for it to smell like summer rain.

Hey I forgot the most pungent summer smell on the farm. Sweat and grease and oil from working on machinery. YUK!

Tangy salted air from the murky Connecticut coast, the earthy smell of the garden when it is first tilled, and food on the grill!

This morning, it smelled like SKUNK. I would have to go with Grillin' Out, Tomato Vines, and sweat!
