Me, Sleeping in? No way!

Why is it that during the school year, I d-r-a-g myself out of bed at 6:30 to go to my beloved post at the high school pushing information on unwilling learners and during the summer when I can do what I want, I wake up early??? like 4:30 early. And can't go back to sleep. Are all those farm genes in my family kicking in??? Maybe it's the sunrise. I checked and this morning's sunrise was at 6:24. But when I got up at 5:30 (after various deep breathing techniques, etc failed to put me back to sleep) the sky was just getting light.
I thought "Hmmm. If I were an ambitious person, I'd put on my shoes and go for a walk. Or I could go out and pull weeds after it get's lighter." But of course, without coffee, none of those options worked. So I got dressed, drank a pot of coffee, ate my usual oatmeal and yogurt, kissed Les when HE left for a walk :) and sat down to 'quickly' check my email. Which led me to check my myspace page, which led me to check out some of my friends blogs, and here it is 2 hours later and I am writing this. I think the internet could possibly be the biggest time waster in the world! It sucks me in and before I know it, 3 hours have passed!

I also checked the weather in Arad, Romania this morning. (High today: 82 degrees, current time, app. 3 pm ish.) That's where Molly's going this summer on a mission trip. I think. I mean I think it's Arad. I know she's going. We've spent the money for the trip! I can't believe I hadn't thought of checking out Romania before today! I mean, I'm the ultimate trip researcher! I need to find out the medieval sites she needs to photograph! I need to check the weather! I need to know if she needs a jacket! Or more deodorant! I guess since Mike, the youth director and trip planner, has been there numerous times, I just wasn't worried about it. And our friend Johnny from Romania lives there and she'll be seing him, the trip won't really be foreign like going to Hawaii! haha. So, I guess I'll be spending (wasting?) time checking out the place, internet wise in the next few weeks!


By the way, the early morning sunlight in my den revealed two beautiful spiderwebs--from my lamp to the ceiling. Should I destroy nature's masterpiece of let it be? Aww, I think they will be safe for today. I'm really gonna go pull those weeds! Now, right this minute. As soon as I upload a picture. And close all the computer windows, and sweep the kitchen floor and brush my teeth and......I'm going, I'm going--Can't wait to get dirt under my fingernails!!!
