Prom Night--The Real Thing

Well, I did it. I let my daughter go to the prom with someone she had never met. Someone she met basically on the INTERNET. Ok, she didn't really meet him on the internet.

They were virtually introduced through real-live friends. It was a blind date--Well, kinda blind. As blind as a date can be when you've written on each other's Facebook wall and texted. So it wasn't literally blind, just kind of blind. And he just lives a couple of towns away--a small town, in fact. Small town guys are ok, right?


Ax Murderers don't come from small towns-- Aren't they limited to urban areas? And they usually don't own suits or have nice manners? Or drive a (their dad's) Lincoln pickup? Or so I would assume......

Isn't my daughter just the most beautiful, most super-star-like girl you've ever seen??? Look at this picture--she could be at a Hollywood Premier!

By the way, I went to the Prom. It poured rain. I had a flashback to my Junior prom and the almost-tornado. The sponsors were in the conference room keeping an eagle eye on the weather (and snacking). I got home at 2:00. A. M. It takes awhile to take down chandeliers and gossamer and plastic and such...

You will be glad to know that I did not wear either of the dresses I modeled in the previous posts. Or maybe not.

Actually MOLLY was glad that I was not wearing those dresses.......
