I have this disease, see...

I've been afflicted with it for several years and can't seem to get it under control. There's no cure and no medication.

It's called one-more-thing-itis.

Have you ever thought that you could do one more thing, carry one more bag, read one more page or pull one more weed and still get to work (or bed) on time? If so, you might have it too!

When I'm getting ready for work, I will put my breakfast dishes in the dishwasher. And that looks so much neater, I will wipe off the table and rinse the dish cloth and fold it and the towel neatly at the sink. Then, because I have a little bit of time, I will do 'just one more' little chore and end up rushing to get to school on time!

It's especially bad on Friday's because that's trash day. Sometimes I forget to clean out the fridge the night before so I have to do that, then put the dishes in the dishwasher, then that looks so nice and neat, I wipe off the shelves of the fridge. Then I will take out the trash. And if I take it to the curb, Les won't have to. Then I remember the trash in the shed. Then I pull a few weeds on the way to the shed and back to put in the trash.........

Then I rush to the car and wonder what the heck am I doing messing around, I've got to get to work and what are these idiot drivers doing meandering along like we've got all the time in the world and the stoplight is red. Forever. Then parents are lined up dropping off their kids and since the kid's legs are surely either broken or crippled or they are just plain lazy, the parents have to drive through the teacher's parking lot--backwards--to let them off right at the door.

People--I don't have time for this......

But, if I could just get rid of this disease--one-more-thing-itis--I'd have plenty of time and people wouldn't be so stupid!

This has me written all over it, I just have never been diagnosed! I am forever rushing to get somewhere on time not because I've been sitting and doing nothing, its because I always see things that need to be done at the last minute. CRAZY, did we get it from our Mothers? Love ya! Di

You did not inherit this desease. I have I'll do it later. Maybe One more thing is the early stages of this disease though because I think I used to have it. I just got over it with age.

I have "I can do that" when asked for a favor...And then I'm never able to stop helping with whatever I agreed to, because I've committed, and they need me, and I need to be needed, and and and...I think my illness may be more detrimental than yours...

I also have that disease!!! But it only affects me late at night, when I should be sleeping...then, it is morning and I realize I have not slept at all!

One Last Thought.......

Pleasant words are a honeycomb;
sweet to the soul and healing to the body.
