When you get to a certain age

Remember when you prayed for dry nights when your kids were little?  Or maybe you still do.  Prayers change upon aging.  Now I'm praying for a dry night for myself.  Oh, I don't have a potty problem.  The problem is sweat.

I had read about it.  Friends told me about it.  But none of that knowledge had prepared me for the reality of waking up on a sweaty pillow with my hair sticking to my neck.  Being forewarned doesn't prepare you for digging in a drawer for dry PJs at 2 am.  Head knowledge is doesn't tell you how your hair will look after tossing and turning all night searching for a cool spot on the sheets in January.

Job said "Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?"

Now I know why so many women take morning showers.

Although I shower in the morning anyways, but that's because I already get to hot sometimes. But uh, ya know it's just cuz I am! HAHA just kidding! just kidding. (okay sorry. inside joke)

And then there is stage three. But that DEPENDS how fast you can wake up or if you are prepared. The thing about it, you just have to laugh, but not too much, same with coughing.

Stage three--I'm already there!

One of the smartest things I ever did was to put a small electric fan on my bedside table. That way when a power surge hits me in the middle of the night - I can just turn it on and cool right down. Heaven.

FYI, I buy "Estroblend" from Walmart. It is in the vitamins section and it takes care of the hot flashes and night sweats !! I take the extra strength once a day and it works like a charm. You might want to try it. P.S. I love your blog. You are so gifted! The idea about scripture in the wall is great. I'm just too lazy to repaint my bathroom.
