It's Fall!

Now if we could just have a good, hard freeze..... It's so annoying that my favorite season is ruined by pollen!  The temperatures are cooler, the sky has changed from brassy to golden and the ragweed is in bloom.  It's Sunday, and I've spent the day at home sleeping, sneezing and blowing my nose.

Yesterday I put out my fall decorations.  Until we moved into this house, I had not decorated much for seasons except Christmas.  I'm afraid I've filled up the abundant storage spaces that I swore I would not fill with seasonal things, particularly fall-ish stuff.

It started pretty innocently.  A friend gifted me with a sack of pumpkins and gourds she had picked up from the clearance section at a store.  They were too cheap for her to pass up but she doesn't do seasonal decorations so she passed them on to me!

I made that scarf/tablecloth/whathaveyou in the above picture from a square of burlap and just hot glued some leaves on it and threaded some feathers through the weave of the fabric.

The pine cones were picked up for free and I purchased that sweet bark wreath last week at the thrift store for a mere 50 cents!

Happy Fall and happy decorating.

Oh, and if you're like me--happy noseblowing!

Dang it. I still don't have out fall decorations. Brent brought them down from the attic, but that is all that's been accomplished!
