Oh you Beautiful Doll--Part 3

Meet Crissy! She wasn't my favorite doll but because she has such awesome outfits, I had to include three pictures! According to Wikipedia, Tressy was the first doll with growing hair (you had one of those, right Becky?), but then Crissy came along and she had a bunch of friends--Cinnamon, Velvet, Kerri, Brandi, Mia, Dina...What a hippie bunch! Crissy has on Satin Panties to match her dress and used to have low heeled shoes of the same color, but who knows where those went. Here, Crissy's hair is long and be sure and notice the bangs--a feature of all my dolls! The hair was a challenge--continually tangled. I remember we put baby oil on it to get the tangles out. How 'bout this outfit! Maxi skirt, shirt with menswear tie and a long, hot pink coat! And last of all--Crissy with short hair and her Christmas dress. It matches the one I wore that year! Remember, you pushed her belly button and pulled the ponytail to make Crissy's hair grow. Then to wind it up, she had a little knob on her back to twist.

I've enjoyed my walk down Memory Lane--hope you did too!

Thank you for not mentioning how much older Tressy was than CrissY :)

I enjoyed it too. And, I still covet Crissy. Someone would never let me play with her....

My daughter had a Crissy doll. I think she may still have it. She had it for a long time. She got it back in the 60s.
