coffee!

I was almost late to school the other day but it wasn't my fault!  I refilled my coffee cup and set it down to get the cream out of the fridge and saw this!

So of course I had to get my camera and take some pictures.  And of course my camera was buried in the depths of my purse.  In a black case inside a black lined purse (note to self--get one of those little lights for my purse or get a neon camera case!)

Then of course, I became entranced with the morning light streaming in through the window and the steam rising from the cup.

Then, of course,  I had to try out some different angles and clean the junk off the counter top and admire the light and the steam and think about how much I love mornings like this!  If only I could stay home!  Sometimes I get so consumed with what I want and don't get to do that I forget the things I have and can do.

Then I remembered I'd better be glad I have a job and could enjoy coffee and fruit in a bowl and sunlight in the window, because if I weren't working, I'd perhaps still be in bed and

miss this!

Have you ever had a steamy heart rising from your coffee??

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

 p. s.  Please ignore the dust that is so artfully highlighted along with the steaming heart from the cup....
