Hey Mom, It's your birthday!

Did you know the year you were born--MCMXLV--marked the end of World War II and the beginning of the Information age?

Did you know microwaves were discovered that year? And oral penicillin was developed and the first computer was completed and the first atomic bomb was tested?

And the movie, National Velvet, was released along with the books, Stuart Little and Pippi Longstocking!

By saving your average yearly earnings of $2400, you could buy
a new house--$4060.00
a new car--$1020.00
fill your car with gas for 15 cents per gallon
and buy 3 cans of tomato soup for just 25 cents!

You were just a tiny little baby, who grew up to be this gorgeous lady, who married a wonderful guy and had terrific kids

and

look at you now: Reading all this on a computer, the mother of which was built the year you were born!

You've survived moon walks and moonies; smiley faces and face lifts; sit-ins and walk outs; terrorism and feminism; free love and The Love Dare; dime stores and dollar stores and....

Everything in between.

Hope you have a great day!

You've been a terrific mom and I love you a lot!
