Remember this game? These cards belong to Memaw, but I think we had these very same ones when I was growing up!
I definitely remember Skinny Jimmy (threading a needle), Swingin' Sam and especially Enormous Norma.
These are certainly politically incorrect now--Enormous Norma???
When Les and his brother would play Old Maid at his grandparent's house, they always knew when Grandpa Leon would get this card!
His head would turn red, starting at the neck and working upwards, then back down to his collar. And he would laugh without making a sound! His mouth would be open and just a wheeze would come out!
So between the laughing and the big bend in the middle of the Old Maid's neck, her location was never a secret!!

I do remember Old Maid, it was a stand-by at our house too. However, we loved our "Authors" game even more and I still to this day remember the classic authors and their works from that game. Did you ever play it?
Here are some OTHER favorite games:
Sorry
Pay Day
Pictionary
Clue
Here's a few I detest:
Monopoly
Scrabble
Boggle
Chess
I remember cards like that! Good times!
