Almost 300! (teacups, that is)

Molly has always had a thing for tea parties--check out this post to see her
and her friends on our back porch!

And I love the idea of tea--the cups, the pots, the brewing, the endless variety of fragrant tea leaves
with the different herbs and flowers that can be mixed in.

It's fun to prepare for a tea party--the silver, the linens, the FOOD!
(I just pretend all that doesn't have to be washed by hand later.)

So when Josh proposed to Molly and she began to plan her wedding day,
the one thing she was adamant about was the fact that she really, really
wanted to use tea cups and saucers for the reception.
Realy!
She even offered to delay her honeymoon
to help wash up afterwards.
But I don't think she meant it!

So I've been looking (along with friends and family) for affordable (read here, extremely cheap)
cups and saucers for the special day.  I've spent alot of time hunting, washing,
wrapping, storing and obsessively counting these pretty pieces of  china.

How many do we have?  About 289 sets.

More or less.......

Oh no... Do you have breakage? I am collecting saucers, candle sticks, mason jars and other various items we can either use as is or alter... I just wish I could nail his mom down to a final number of people we are inviting... We are almost to the three month mark... I need to know.

I can never find these around here anywhere. I look and look. You will have to let me know if you sell them afterwards. Great for you that you can find these!!

They are so beautiful. I think the "Tea Party" reception will be lovely. Her English Grandmother would be so pleased. Two week and 1 day but who's counting?

LOVE IT!! and love that it incorporates a childhood/lifelong memory/joy! Enjoy! Celebrating who you are as you unite with the one you love - that makes the most beautiful weddings/marriages!!

You found some really gorgeous tea cups! Will each guest get to keep their own tea cup, or will you have them after the wedding?

I think you managed to get rid of your word veri! If this comment comes through on your blog, word veri is gone! Otherwise, I will copy it and send it to you in an e-mail.
